COMMENCEMENT 2007

Each year, I have to say "good-bye" to so many students I've worked closely with - it's both sad and happy. We graduated tons of great psych students this year (2007). Here's a pic of me, Liz Gerritt, Heather Mangione, and Regina Musicaro.

See the SUNY New Paltz Psychology Department's blog site for more pics of our great graduates at: http://sunynewpaltzpsychologydepartment.blogspot.com/.

NEEPS pic

... oops - having trouble uploading the picture file ... here's the pic alluded to in prior post ...

NEEPS 07 - the evolution begins!

As several of you know, I spearheaded the creation of North America's first regional evolutionary psychology society: the NorthEastern Evolutionary Psychology Society (NEEPS). Several students - Mike Camargo and Heather Mangione in particular, were hugely helpful in this initiative.

Our fledgling society has more than 85 members - and our keynote and plenary speakers were, respectively, David Sloan Wilson and Gordon G. Gallup, Jr. Not a bad start!

Pictured here are, from left, super-alum Jay Landolfi, myself (Glenn Geher), and the one-and-only Bucky Markle (class of 2006).

Several more pictures from the conference are found there.

Also, check out this article on our inaugural conference in Entelechy (http://www.entelechyjournal.com/) published by my friend Alice Andrews.

Definitely contact me if you'd like to join!

Welcome to Glenn's Guestbook!

Well I've decided to join the 21st century and start a blog. No, I still don't carry a cell phone - and I think Pearl Jam is a new band ... but I can start a blog, darnit!

Think of this space as my guestbook - particularly, I'm hoping to hear from alumni and recent students. Let me know how things are going. Provide updated pictures (such as pictures from HBES or NEEPS or commencement or hikes with your evolutionary psychology class). Think of this as a way to stay in touch.

Remember, if you're a student or alumnus of mine, your success is my success - so let me know all about your accomplishments!
