Welcome to Glenn's Guestbook!

Well I've decided to join the 21st century and start a blog. No, I still don't carry a cell phone - and I think Pearl Jam is a new band ... but I can start a blog, darnit!

Think of this space as my guestbook - particularly, I'm hoping to hear from alumni and recent students. Let me know how things are going. Provide updated pictures (such as pictures from HBES or NEEPS or commencement or hikes with your evolutionary psychology class). Think of this as a way to stay in touch.

Remember, if you're a student or alumnus of mine, your success is my success - so let me know all about your accomplishments!

Am I really the first to post on the Great Professor Geher's blog? Or am I simply in the wrong spot. Ohh well- Glenn, how are sir? I promise some time when I am back at the Paltz I will buy you a beer. I am currently living just outside of Boston where I spent the last 4 years. I came here to work on my MA in Political Science. While completing my degree I worked FT and PT as a job coach with adults with developmental disabilities. I quickly found out that I really loved the work and found that it all came very easy to me. Now I am teaching at The Boston Higashi school, known for their Daily Life Therapy that many other schools are now trying to adopt. They will be paying for most of my Masters in Ed. starting in September. I still use a lot of what I learned from Glenn every day at school and life in general. I also continue to read a lot of evolutionary pscyh stuff- thanks for introducing me Glenn. I am single and live in a nice apartment in a town similar to New Paltz. Once I get my Master of Ed. I plan on teaching in a public school and eventually at the collegiate level. Hope every one else is well.

Hi! It seems like just yesterday that I was a student in your social psychology class. I am scheduled to take the graduate equivalent course in the Spring and thought of you. I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am for the wonderful background in psychology that I received during my tenure at New Paltz. The only downside to having received top notch instruction is boredom.

As far as my current status is concerned, I am finishing up my certification in school psychology and will be venturing out on internship during the 2008-2009 academic year. Following my internship, I plan on applying to doctoral programs in neuropsychology.

I hope all is well with you, Kathy, and the kids. Have a happy and a healthy New Year!
